Getting Back On Track

If you’ve read my blog before, you may well have noticed that it’s been a while since I posted. And you might have guessed that it was because I wasn’t really living up to what I was writing about. If you guessed that, you’d have been right.
But as with many good things, time, prayer, and some discipline have brought me back to the habits that were doing me good (and continue to do so when I practice them regularly). I’m currently ending roughly my second full week of daily exercise (with the exception of Sundays), as well as nearing the end of the induction period for a low-carb routine (note: routine, not diet, as I do not intend to go back to my old ways of eating whatever I felt like, regardless of carb content). I have lost 10lbs. in the last 16 days, and I’m shooting for 35.5 more to take me down to 175lbs.
As I get closer to that goal, it’s possible that I may have to re-assess, given that daily rowing is already having a significant impact on my body composition. My scale, which approximates body fat % by measuring electrical resistance, shows a 2-3% delta in body fat %, and this morning, for the first time, I was able to really see and feel the difference in my body…great feeling.
I’ve also made some positive changes in my work lifestyle, which I hope to share as time goes on…but in the meantime, I wanted to share the return to 0 Dark 30, and hope that in addition to getting healthy myself, I can perhaps be a good example to others looking to make similar changes.
